Successful Sweets!

Good day!

Goodness, gracious!  37 followers and 21 comments on my last post!!  It's all too much, thank you all=)

Friday night, my brothers band, The Great Flood Catastrophe, had a show.  I go to about 85% of their shows and sell their merchandise for them.  So most times, I make some kind of goody and have in on a plate for people to come and take.  It helps the merch sales, for sure!;)
So I made a Raspberry Coffee Cake.
Pretty much, roll the dough out into a rectangle.  Spread a mixture of Cream Cheese, Egg, Sugar, and Vanilla on top.  Then spread Raspberry Jam on half of it.  Roll it up, let it rise for a bit, bake, frost, then eat!
Photo credit to my lovely sister Rachel.
First time trying it, and it got a lot of great feedback.  Everyone who tried it, loved it!  It's always so sweet when people tell you something you've made is good.

Today, we went to my grandpa's for Father's Day.  He loves Chocolate Chip Cookies, but I was on a time crunch, so I just made Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars.

People always go for the middle!
They got eaten, and my grandpa loved them!  So I'd say, a success indeed.

What my dad wanted to do for Father's Day, was stay home and relax.  He had a looong week.

First lake day and a laid back dinner...

Hello all,

Oh goodness, all of this feedback has been marvelous!!  I am just shocked!

Yesterday, was our first trip to the lake.  My granny lives on a small lake about a half hour from our home.  My cousins Ian, Erika, Emma, Elijah, and Zeke met us there.  And my good friend Morgan came along as well.  I brought some Lasagna, Breadsticks, and a Salad for dinner.  Sadly, did not get a picture of any of it=/  But I hope you all don't mind looking at a few pictures from the day!!

First tubing of the year.  From left to right, Ian, myself, and Morgan.
This is my cousin Elijah!

Zeke thinks he's Gilligan!!  haha.
Our boat stalled in the middle of the lake, and this kind sir pulled us into shore.
Ian took the little boys home, and we had a game of Croquet!
I was a bit behind...
...but I caught up!
Morgan and I just chilling.  We both decided that neither of us would fit in the Red Rocket.  Haha.

So after the game of Croquet, we watched To Kill a Mocking Bird and had some ice cream.
What a fun day.

On to the food!

Today, I made some Cinnamon Doughnut Muffins.
Mix the batter together, and fill some muffin tins half way full.  Put about a teaspoon of Jam on top, and then place some more batter on top so that the muffin cups are about three-fourths of the way full.
We had a pretty simple dinner tonight.  Just grilled some Hamburgers and Bratwurst.
For a side dish, I put together my own Black Bean salad.

Black Beans, Garbanzo Beans, Diced Tomatoes with Green Chillies, and then just guessed at the rest.

Well, tonight we are off to catch the midnight showing of Toy Story 3!!

Two meals in one day, what fun!!

Hello all!!,

Really, all of this feedback from everyone, has been wonderful!
26 followers and 14 comments on my last post.  Thanks so much!!

Although, I've been looking at and following a lot of cooking blogs, and gotta day, all of the meals I see are putting mine to shame!!  But, I am still learning, and always will.

So today was a busy day, food wise.
I made two meals today, one for a family at our church and one for my family=)

The first meal I made, was a Pasta Casserole.  Mixed together some cooked Penne pasta, tomato sauce, a bit of whipping cream, garlic, oregano, and some salt.  Layered some of the pasta mixture in a dish, then some pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and then repeated it once.  Didn't get a picture of it though=/
We always sent along a Salad, Breadsticks, and some Toffee Bars I had made yesterday.

For us, I made Spaghetti and Meatballs, with a Salad, and Breadsticks.

Doubled the batch of Breadsticks, and even have some more for tomorrow night!!
I let this simmer all day.

It's been such a wonderful day!!

First creation with my new toy...!!

Bonjour!!

Wow, 16 followers!!  And 9 comments on my last post in just two days?!  Thank you all so much, really appreciate it.

Made my first creation with my new gorgeous Kitchen Aid!!  Still trying to decide on a name for it..haha.
Decided to go with Raspberry Almond Blondies, I've made them once before.  And have decided, if I ever open up a bakery or something, I'm totally selling them!!

Took this picture with my phone, so I apologize for the poor quality.
They turned out quite splendidly, I used Spelt Flour for the crust.

I sent a few with my best friend because it was my first creation and I mean, it was their Un-Birthday!=)

Thank you all so much for your kind words and such.

Wonderful Wednesday!!

Hello dears,

I am just overwhelmed with how many comments I received on my last post, and in such short time!
Also, 13 followers in less than a month, wow!!  Thank you to all=)

Yesterday was such a wonderful day indeed.

First off, I made some Carmel Bread Pudding, it was so joyful.  I had never made Bread Pudding before, and it was super fun.

And just as this was baking, my Kitchen Aid I ordered Monday came in the mail!!!
That was what I got with my graduation money, along with a pair of Maroon Toms, which haven't come yet, but hopefully will soon!!

Pictures by my lovely sister Rachel=)

My cousin Erika in the backround, a little blurry=)

I decided to go with just straight White, cause White matches with anything, and who knows what my Lord Willing future kitchen will look like.

So that evening, I drove Erika back to her house.  I made Waffles for everyone for dinner.  My 10 year old cousin Emma has been craving them, and they don't have a Waffle Iron.
Rachel and I stayed until about 10:00 and then it was back home.

God is so gracious, and I am too blessed.

Cookies and Chicken!!

Hello all,

My sister Rachel has been wanting me to make Peanut Butter Cookies, so I decided to make some today.
The recipe is so simple, just 5 ingredients!!

Just 1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
Mix it all together.  Scoop about a tablespoon sized of batter and roll in a ball.  Place on a baking sheet and flatten out with a fork.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

For dinner tonight, I made Blackberry Chicken.
I made a salad, seamed some broccoli, and made up some rice.
It turned out quite lovely!!=)

Celebration of the end of High School...

 Hello all,
My goodness, haven't posted anything in almost a week!
I really have been cooking a bit, but this past week we've just been getting ready for my Open House.
It was held on Friday, the 4th of June, from 6-10, but some people stayed until about 1!!
So I thought I'd just post a few pictures from it.
Photo credit goes to my lovely sister Rachel and my brother Aaron.
About 153 people showed up, and it was loads of fun.
Really overwhelming actually, God has so graciously placed so many wonderful people in my life.  Wow.
A friend of my mom's came and created this wonder!
Chocolate Chip and Snickerdoodle Cookies.  I made them a few weeks before and froze them.
Another friend of my mom's made this.  Isn't it lovely??!!  It was super yummy.

This was my sister Rachel's idea.  Haha, I guess I graduated from Hogwarts.

My cousin Jonas♥

Robin and Jenna, I've known them my whole life, my other sisters!
My brother Aaron, his lady Kara, and my bestest friend Ella.
Afterwards, my brother's band, The Great Flood Catastrophe, played in my dad's studio.

Ella and Chloe came in and rocked out, with cotten in their ears!=)

After the show, we had a little dance party, and forgot to take pictures=/

It was such a fun night, wow, really was!  Wonderful.
This coming week, I will be posting more food, really!

Enjoy the day.
