This past Satuday, Rachel and I went with our cousins to an Apple Orchard.
All of the good apples were on the tops of the trees, of course. The signs said NOT to climb the trees. But my cousin Ian (who is my age) and I didn't really follow the rules..haha. But we sure got some wonderful apples!!=)
So I made a pie with some of them, and probably could make 4 more!!
Besides all of this, I've made a lot more.
A few meals for my brother's band, which included: Italian Beef Sandwhiches one night. Mac and Cheese and Sandwhiches another night.
Last week, we had some friends over and I made Chili and Corn Bread. I didn't have a dessert made, so a little before dinner I asked my dear friend Morgan what I should make. He suggested Cinnamon Rolls, and so that seemed like a wonderful plan to me, so I made some!!
Alas, didn't get any pictures of any of it, which is a bummer=/
Anyway, hope you all have been well and enjoying this lovely Autumn Weather!!=)
Goodness, had it really been over two weeks since my last post?! Wow, time flies. Can't believe the first day of September is tomorrow!!
I really have been cooking/baking, just seem to eat it before the camera has time to take the photos!;) Tehe.
A few days ago, I made one of my best friends a Coconut Cream Pie. Even when it sat in the car for 3 hours, it still tasted good!=)
Making progress on the Harry Potter books. Just about done with the 4th one.
Got a job at a coffee shop...!!! I was hired about two weeks ago. It's been great so far. It's about a 20 minute drive for me one way. This morning, we were super busy, which was great. So grateful to have a job, cause I know how difficult it has been for people to find one.
On to cooking.
Since I've been waking up at 6 for work, I've decided to made quick breakfast food.
So yesterday, I made some Morning Muffins.
They have shredded Carrots, Coconut, and Raisins in them. Yum. The recipe called for chopped nuts, but I didn't add them.
For dinner, I made Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo.
The recipe called for Half and Half, but I used one part Chicken Broth and two parts Milk.
It turned out yummy, I had seconds!!=)
Also, I am taking a little trip at the end of October!!
My sister Rachel, is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. And ever since we found out about the new theme park in Universal Studios, she has been wanting to go and had a fund saved up for the ticket.
The park opened June 18th. Well, I've been telling her how we are going to go someday and how I am going to take her. Like we never thought it could happen. But I was dead serious. So I talked to my parents about wanting to take her. So on October 25th, we are flying out of Indianapolis to Orlando, staying the night in a super cool hotel, the 26th spending the whole day at the park, and flying back home the 27th. I secretly planned this and surprised her with the trip, paying for her plane ticket and park ticket. My brother's band played a show at our house, and I played a set with my cousin Ian, brother Aaron, and friend Morgan. So during the set, I had her come to the front and told her the plan. She cried.
So yes, very excited about the trip.
This is a photo from the opening ceremonies, it's going to be so magical.
My goodness, it's been too long since I've done a post.
It's been very hot outside, so turning on the oven makes the house even hotter!!
And for another thing, I've started reading the Harry Potter books again, and I'm glued to the books!!=)
I started reading those books when I was 10. I've read the whole series once, and the 5th and the 6th one twice. My sister Rachel has been giving me a hard time that I've only read them once, and who I can call myself a true Harry Potter fan. She is funny!!=)
I have been cooking a bit, but seem to forget to take pictures. For one reason, because my sister went to Michigan with our cousins and aunt, and took the camera with her. So yeah.
Story time: So my friend Tiffany's 18th birthday was March 22nd and she asked if I would make her a Carrot Cake. We both got busy and it seemed like she would never get her cake. Finally, Wednesday night, she got her cake!!=)
