Independence Day Weekend Treats....

Hello all,

Thanks to those for your lovely comments on my last post, it was all too kind!!=)

This weekend, my family and I are headed to my Grandma's house.  She lives on a lake about 30 minutes from our house.  It's been a tradition for as long as I can remember, for all of us to head there for 4th of July weekend.  It's always a blast, all of our family is there and we invite friends to come as well.  Wonderful times indeed, and really looking forward to this weekend.

I made a couple desserts to take along with us.

Coconut Cream Pie

Snickerdoodles

Hope you all have a marvelous weekend!!

  1. My great grandmother always made us snickerdoodle cookies. Every time I have one or even see one, it brings back happy memories of spending time with her. She always made special treats for us kids. I really miss her.

  14. Hannah, I am so glad you stopped by my blog and left a comment, so that now I can see your lovely blog and "meet" you. I read your bio. and I am so impressed. You seem like such a lovely lady and are well on your way to reaching your goal of being a wonderful wife and mother. My boys were looking at your blog, too and they were so impressed with how beautiful it is. The love the egg photo in the background. I was wondering if you would be willing to guest post on my blog. I would share you bio., perhaps a small interview and you could share whatever you wanted: a recipe, a day of cooking at your home, anything you would like. Think about it and let me know. I would be honored if you would.

  22. I have written some interview questions you could pick from to answer, and then I would take some of the photos from your blog and intesperse them between the questions, and then link it to your blog, inviting people to check out your blog. Can you email me and then I can email you back the questions. It would be a lot easier than through the comments. Bergfam@atlanticbb.net
Please don't publish this comment as I don't want everyone to have my email address.
    Thanks so much!
